Shop Saturday for a chance to meet Kim Kardashian at new Ulta store

Kim Kardashian (the new Mrs. Kanye West) is scheduled to make an appearance at Ulta Beauty’s new Midtown Crossing store on Pico Boulevard on Aug. 6, but fans who want to meet her need to shop at the store this Saturday.

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the first 175 customers who purchase a minimum of two Kardashian Sun Kissed products will qualify to meet Kardashian and get an autograph during her appearance, which is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 6.

The store is at 4550 Pico Blvd., Los Angeles.

Singer Tony Orlando and his six-piece band are scheduled to perform in a free concert at the Grove beginning at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6. The concert, sponsored by Citi as part of the mall’s Summer Stage series, celebrates Orlando’s 55-year career and hits including “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree,” “Candida” and “Knock Three Times.” The Grove is at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.

Women’s clothing designer Eva Mejl has opened a boutique in the Westside Pavilion, at 10800 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles. The store carries Mejl’s collection of gowns, cocktail dresses and casual wear. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Vince is scheduled to open a new store on Friday at 29 W. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. The store will carry men’s and women’s apparel and shoes as well as the Vince Kids collection.

Pop-ups

Rebel Yell, which sells women’s clothing inspired by the Southern California surf and sun lifestyle of the late 1970s and early 1980s, has opened a pop-up shop at the Grove this summer. It’s next to Pacific Theaters at the shopping complex at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
