Rihanna, who has a new TV fashion-competition show called “Styled to Rock” slated to premiere on Oct. 25 on Bravo, is Glamour’s November cover girl. She tells the magazine her style icons are Nicole Richie and Princess Diana, but her love for fashion all started with her mother. The magazine hits newsstands Oct. 8. [Glamour]

Marc Jacobs has confirmed he is leaving Louis Vuitton after 16 years to concentrate on his own eponymous line, and he showed his farewell collection on Wednesday morning at Paris Fashion Week. Los Angeles Times Fashion Critic Booth Moore reports, “There was a celebratory but mournful feeling to the collection, done entirely in black and navy, as if Jacobs was saying the decision to leave the jewel in the LVMH crown, the brand that made him the biggest star in the fashion universe, is bittersweet.” [Los Angeles Times]

Saint Laurent reportedly has severed relations with Paris boutique Colette in a flap over a T-shirt that was sold in the store. The shirt read: “Ain’t Laurent Without Yves.” Saint Laurent Paris creative director Hedi Slimane, who dropped the “Yves” from the label’s name, was not amused and pulled his line from the boutique.
