Switch boutique opens Bel-Air Hills branch
Sisters Jennifer and Julia Cohen’s Beverly Hills boutique Switch opened nine years ago, and it’s become a go-to destination for fashion stylists and celebrity customers including Hilary Duff, Lea Michele, Sophia Bush, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Amber Valletta.
Now they’ve opened a second location, at 2954 Beverly Glen Circle in Bel-Air Hills.

The light and airy boutique carries fashion and jewelry labels including Elie Saab, Roland Mouret, Giambattista Valli, Anthony Vaccarello and Van Cleef and Arpels.
The store is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Events
Irvine Spectrum Center is to host its second annual Fashion Truck + Food Truck Meet Up Weekend from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Scheduled fashion trucks include LeFashion, J.D. Luxe and Michael Stars. Food trucks include the Lime Truck (winner of Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race”) and Dogzilla. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, select Irvine Spectrum boutiques will have pop-ups in the mall’s Giant Wheel Court, the center of all the activities. Irvine Spectrum Center is at 71 Spectrum Center Drive in Irvine.
Openings
British accessories designer Charlotte Olympia Dallal will be on hand for the opening of her new Charlotte Olympia boutique at South Coast Plaza from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The store is on level one of the shopping center at 3333 Bristol St. in Costa Mesa. She is also scheduled to make an appearance at her Beverly Hills store, at 474 N. Rodeo Drive, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Pop-ups
Under Construction is to present a pop-up shop featuring labels 19 4t Clothing, Antonio Barragan, B* + S Studio, Calvin Rucker, Iliana de Boisblanc (IDB Fashion), Jungle Gurl Swim and Uniform VIII. It will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Space Gallery, 5500 Hollywood Blvd. Prices range from $30 to $390.
Trunk shows
A trunk show is planned featuring the Jim Hjelm by Hayley Paige fall collection this week at JLM Couture, 352 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood. Designer Hayley Paige originally was scheduled to host the trunk show at JLM, but she will no longer be able to do so. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Sales
Planet Blue in Santa Monica plans a storewide half-price sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The store is at 800 14th St.
