It’s no secret that Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk, the ladies behind the Jovovich-Hawk label, look to decades past for design ideas. So naturally, Jovovich was bouncing around, posing for the flashbulbs in a ‘60s-inspired black and white Mod dress at Thursday’s party at the Chateau Marmont, celebrating the launch of the ladies’ new line for MNG by Mango.

The dress was a $55 number from the new line, which was displayed in the hallway on mannequins as well. Guests — including a celeb contingent of Ginnifer Goodwin, Angela Lindvall and Adrian Grenier — gave a quick glance to the clothes, but soon headed out to the penthouse balcony to get some fresh air. It was out there that the Mirror caught up with Hawk to gab a little about what inspires her.

“I love the ‘70s and late ‘60s, I am such a ‘70s chick!” said Hawk. Judging by white and purple floor-length hippie dress from the MNG line, she really is.

Also, “Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music. Their album covers, I want to be like those sirens on their album covers,” Hawk cooed. In her wispy frock, dramatic coppery velvet cape and bright red lipstick, she seemed to be on the right track.
