Make your Christmas tree great again with a $99 Donald Trump red hat ornament
If you’re a President-elect Donald Trump fan who has been searching frantically for that one piece of holiday décor that would proudly showcase your political leanings, look no further than the teeny-tiny version of Trump’s signature red “Make America Great Again” cap the Trump folks are offering as a $99 Christmas tree ornament.
The email that landed in our inbox this morning read in part, “President-elect Trump loves Christmas and makes a point of proudly saying ‘Merry Christmas’ every chance he gets.
“This collectible ornament commemorates Trump’s commitment to the Christmas spirit and will be a great addition to your family’s tree this year.” It included a photo of a minuscule version of Trump’s now-famous five-panel “Make America Great Again” hat nestled in the branches of a Christmas tree, the gold braiding and stitching detail glinting in the lights of O Tannenbaum.
The online description notes that the ornament is “made of brass and finished in 24-karat gold.”
What it does not indicate is whether the tiny hats were made here in the United States. We mention this because the hats’ country of origin was a point of contention during the presidential campaign and all the actual, wearable headgear currently offered at the site (including post-election versions with the number 45 embroidered at the right temple) has “Proudly Made in the USA” in the description.
And your $99 doesn’t just get you a Democrat-angering collectible keepsake to be treasured every holiday season, either. The bottom of the website offering the item includes this statement, “Paid for by Trump Make America Great Again Committee, a joint fundraising committee authorized by and composed of Donald J. Trump for President Inc. and the Republican National Committee.”
In other words, you’ll be giving a Christmas present back to Team Trump and the RNC. Think of it as a gift that warms you twice.
