Eva Longoria, whose line for the Limited launched this fall, surprised shoppers at the Glendale Galleria the Limited on Tuesday night for a personal styling session. “I really love going into the stores,” said Longoria afterward. “It’s my favorite part, seeing the clothes on the mannequins and styling them in ways I never thought of.”

The Limited sent e-mails to its top shoppers promising a “Secret Style Event” and suggesting that they “charge their phones and get ready for a photo op.” Those who have seen Longoria’s visage in the store’s campaign imagery might have guessed, as the store was crowded with women who arrived before the 7 p.m. start time.

“I didn’t realize that many people knew who I was,” said Longoria, who was no doubt being modest, as she has 3.1 million Instagram followers and 7.4 million Twitter followers.

She said her favorite pieces — the blue and black bow blouses, a gray bomber jacket and a red cape — have been among the top sellers in-store and online, but she was also surprised how well the graphic T-shirt has been doing. She took note of customer feedback such as the desire for V-neck Ts and petite-size jeans.

Longoria’s already working on the fall 2017 collection, saying, “everything I’m designing I want to wear now. It seems really far away, but you can’t delay anything in the production process because fashion is so immediate. Everyone wants it now.”

It’s been a busy week for the Latina actress-producer-director-businesswoman. She also launched a bath collection for her J.C. Penney home line and is hoping to expand into kitchenware soon. “Those are my two loves, fashion and home. I’m always sewing and cooking,” she said.
