Celebrating the New Year in Las Vegas fashion, AOC will have a buffet and an Elvis look-alike. The first seating offers a four-course prix-fixe menu that includes wood-oven-baked cannelloni and petrale sole with caramelized endive. $75, reservations at 6 to 6:30 p.m. The second seating includes a buffet with shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs and charcuterie, along with the four-course menu. $100 (dancing and a Champagne toast are on the house), reservations at 9 to 9:30 p.m.

Beacon
The Asian cafe is offering a four-course prix-fixe menu, along with regular a la carte service. Course offerings include miso-braised short rib with kabocha squash, duck with cranberry chutney and pecan red rice, and regular menu choices of both large and small plates. $45 for the four-course meal. 5:30 to 10 p.m.

Border Grill
The Santa Monica and downtown locations will both have a four-course prix-fixe menu to celebrate the New Year. Enjoy the black Mission fig quesadilla, making room for a seafood paella or Oaxacan strip steak with mole Colorado. $45, with $5 wine pairings. The downtown location has a free shuttle to several entertainment venues.

Campanile
Come in for the four-course prix-fixe and stay for music by Chuck E. Weiss. The menu begins with fennel soup, moving on to choices of goat cheese ravioli or grilled sea scallops with a lobster butter béarnaise. $65. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., and live music will start at 9:30 p.m.

A five- or six-course prix-fixe menu includes party favors and a Champagne toast at midnight. Start with malpeque oysters and finger limes, sautéed bay scallops with sunchokes and foie gras, and rib-eye with hen of the wood mushrooms and truffle jus. Dessert? Croquembouche. There are two seatings: the five-course prix-fixe from 6 to 8 p.m. for $65, and the six-course at 8:30 to 11 p.m. for $90.
