THE SCOUT
Sit back, dearie, and relax
Granet Hill brings back the crochet cushion.
Hookers, rejoice: With a new generation of needlework junkies knitting away, it was only a matter of time before some crafty catalog revived that granny classic known as the crochet cushion. Garnet Hill’s Trivet pillow covers update the homespun headrest in eye-catching patterns made from cotton yarn. The 14-inch round versions, both $38, include the Purple Stripe with a flower at its center and the Coral Scallops, which resembles a chrysanthemum. The Green Stripe, with a 1960s Italian flavor, is a 12-inch square and costs $30. Feather and down pillow inserts, sold separately, are $10 to $12. Available from www.garnethill.com; (800) 870-3513.
