Amanda Seyfried on playing against type in ‘Lovelace’

Amanda Seyfried is on the August cover of Elle, touting her new movie “Lovelace,” set to open Aug. 9. This is the movie in which Seyfried, who is known for roles such as the virtuous Cosette in “Les Miserables,” plays porn star Linda Lovelace, of “Deep Throat” fame. “I read the script and I was like, ‘Wow, this is the riskiest thing that’s happening [in Hollywood] right now.’ The first thing you think about is that it could have ruined my career. At the same time, I was like, ‘This is my chance to show them, to show the industry, to be recognized,’” she says. [Elle]
