Details, CFDA to release limited-edition pocket squares

Share

Conde Nast men’s magazine Details has commissioned 10 members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America -- including Marc Jacobs, Thom Browne and John Varvatos -- to create limited-edition pocket squares to benefit the CFDA’s charitable efforts.

As part of the initiative, each designer has produced 11 pocket squares -- a run of 10 and a one-off custom piece -- all of which will be unveiled at a Details/CFDA event in New York City on Dec. 4, with the custom squares put up for auction.

On Dec. 5, the remaining pocket squares will be available for purchase through men’s apparel e-tailer Bonobos.com at $100 each.

The other participating labels include Band of Outsiders, Billy Reid, Michael Bastian, Rag & Bone, Richard Chai, Robert Geller and Tommy Hilfiger.

All proceeds from the sale of the pocket squares will go to the CFDA Foundation Inc., a not-for-profit offshoot of the group that raises funds for charitable causes.

Think of it as a little breast-pocket plumage that’ll make a big difference.
