San Lorenzo Bikinis has landed in North America, opening a flagship store at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.

The company was born in Lima, Peru, in 1991 in a small sewing shop. Later it expanded production into Brazil and in 2005 ventured into Hawaii, where it now has six stores (five in Oahu and one in Maui).

The company prides itself on offering a range of quality swimsuit choices, including custom made.

The store is at 271 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach.

More than 75 vendors are expected, along with raffles and entertainment.  Exhibitors will be offering deals of up to 50% off, organizers say. Mini-manicures, face painting, temporary tattoos, snacks and a photo booth will also be available. The event is open to all, but it’s specifically designed for families with children 1 to 7.
