Badgley Mischka, a brand that’s walked more red carpets than Nicole Kidman and Cameron Diaz combined, has finally opened the store its two designers — Mark Badgley and James Mischka — have always dreamed of.

The new Badgley Mischka boutique, on storied Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, is the second L.A. store for the New York-based label (the other is in West Hollywood), but it’s the first to feature the breadth of the brand’s offerings, said the designers.

“The new store is fantastic because of its size,” said Badgley. “We have the space to really showcase the world of Badgley Mischka, with merchandise from all of our different collections. And we love how the store allows all of the collections to work together.”

The 2,800-square-foot shop, which will host an invite-only opening party March 2, is inside the historic Writers and Artists Building and stocks the brand’s couture, bridal and ready-to-wear lines, along with the contemporary collection Mark+James by Badgley Mischka and accessories including jewelry, watches, handbags, eyewear, fragrance, swimwear and shoes.

Prices range from $200 for jewelry to upwards of $5,000 for couture looks, with ready-to-wear ranging from $900 to $2,500.

The shop’s décor is a mix of old-world elegance and modern sass. The ground floor boasts reclaimed wood floors from barns in Tennessee, crystal chandeliers and a wrought-iron stairway banister — leading up to a second floor dedicated entirely to the brand’s sugar-sweet bridal collection and featuring cream-hued upholstered walls and antique mirrors from France.

The overall effect is graceful and oh-so-feminine. “We really want our customers to feel like they are in a grand Beverly Hills home when they are shopping,” noted Badgley.

“We love the glamour and the history of Rodeo Drive and have been searching for the perfect space for quite some time,” added Mischka. “When the opportunity [arose], we jumped at the chance.”
