Beech-Nut has recalled almost a ton of baby food after broken glass was found in the product, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The Amsterdam, N.Y.-based company was alerted to the problem by a customer who found a small shard of glass in a jar of sweet potato and chicken baby food.

The company recalled 1,920 pounds of 4 oz. glass jars of Stage 2 Beech-Nut Classics sweet potato & chicken bearing the establishment number P-68A inside the USDA mark of inspection. The affected product expires in Dec. 2016 and includes product numbers 12395750815 through 12395750821. The items were shipped to stores nationwide.

According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, Beech-Nut “has received a report of an oral injury associated with consumption of these products.”
