Work is hard. The next time your co-workers ask you out to happy hour (even the really chatty ones), go for it. Buy a round of $6 drinks and get to know one another over sliders and a Manhattan. Because nothing is ever really that bad, if there’s a $6 cocktail involved.

You can find a $6 Manhattan during the new happy hour at Bareburger in Santa Monica. The organic burger chain, which opened its first SoCal location earlier this year, has launched a happy hour from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. And everything on the happy hour menu is priced at $6 or less. Highlights include wild boar meatballs, roasted sugar snap peas, fried green tomatoes and grilled cabbage. To drink: Manhattans, margaritas, wine and beer. 2732 Main St., Santa Monica, (310) 392-2122, www.2732mainst.bareburger.com.

In other happy hour news, Eveleigh, the Sunset Boulevard restaurant known as much for its food as it is for the beautiful people on its patio, will launch its new bar and garden happy hour on Monday. On the menu are patatas bravas ($6), lamb meatballs ($9), spaghetti with sugo and Pecorino ($12), a burger ($12), wheatberry salad ($8) and olives and nuts ($5). A selection of signature cocktails will be priced at $8, with wines on tap, served in a carafe, for $10. Happy hour specials will be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. 8752 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, (424) 239-1630, www.theeveleigh.com.
