Friday is Repeal Day, a time to shake up a couple of martinis and celebrate the end of Prohibition. For those who may need to brush up on their history, on Dec. 5, 1933, the 21st Amendment repealed the 18th Amendment, which prohibited the manufacture, sale and transportation of alcoholic beverages. And yes, years later, we’re still celebrating. Here are some places around town offering specials.

Cafe del Rey has a list of food and drink specials for Repeal Day, including $6 1933 themed cocktails. The Monkey Gland has a mix of gin, orange juice, grenadine and absinthe, and the Blackberry Gramble is made with gin, lemon juice, Chambord, simple syrup, club soda, a lemon wedge and blackberries. The restaurant is also offering three small plates from the lounge menu for $19.33. Plates include filet tartine with capers, cornichons, shallots, chives, mustard and baguette; a crispy squid salad with arugula and orange vinaigrette; truffle fries with Parmesan, black truffle and parsley; and a scallop scampi with bay scallops, garlic, shallots, white wine, butter tomato and baguette. 4451 Admiralty Way, Marina del Rey, (310) 823-6395, www.cafedelreymarina.com.
