Conventions on TV: In the July 30 Calendar section, the last sentence of a review of television coverage of the Republican and Democratic national conventions was enclosed in quotation marks, giving the impression that the words were said by Ohio Gov. John Kasich. They were the author’s words.

Hollywood skyscraper projects: In the July 30 California section, the caption for a photo with an article about two Hollywood high-rise projects said that a bicyclist pictured was riding on Yucca and Argyle avenues. He was riding on Hollywood Boulevard. Also, the caption for another photo misidentified the development pictured as the Crossroads of the World complex. The photo showed the Hollywood skyline.

Border artists: A July 24 article about U.S.-Mexico border artists Marcos Ramirez and David Taylor said that the Mexican-American War cost Mexico more than 500 million square miles. It was 500,000 miles. Also, the article said that the Treaty of Adams-Onis was ratified by Mexico in 1821. It was ratified in 1831.
