Cameron Diaz is on the cover of the November issue of Marie Claire and inside said she was terrified taking on the role of Miss Hannigan in the upcoming movie version of “;Annie”;: “;Even though I was terrified of doing it, I kind of had to,”; she told Karl Taro Greenfeld. “;The two things I’m most terrified of are heights and singing in front of people. I’ve jumped out of airplanes and scaled sides of cliffs -- not to get over my fears, but to address them. I just felt like this is something that needed to be addressed.”; [Marie Claire]

As had been rumored, Peter Copping, who recently announced his departure as artistic director at Nina Ricci, indeed is going to take the creative reins at Oscar de la Renta. Copping, the label announced Monday, is to start in early November and will show his first collection for De la Renta in February, with a collection for fall 2015. [New York Times]

Emme, the very successful plus-size model and fashion entrepreneur of the 1990s, is returning to the spotlight now and wants to work to improve clothing choices for larger women, including in the athletic-clothing area, where selections tend to be limited in size. [People]
