Snoop Socky Socks: Rapper turns designer for Happy Socks

Share

Rapper, actor, producer, artist and youth football league founder Snoop Dogg can now add “hosiery designer” to his resume -- thanks to a recent project with Sweden-based Happy Socks.

“The Art of Inspiration” collaboration, which launches in a few days, includes three knit cotton-blend sock designs: a navy-blue-and-white paisley bandanna pattern (with the word “gin” on one toe and “juice” on the other), colorful paint brushes, cans of spray paint and cartoon eyes in green, orange and yellow against a black background and a Rasta-themed pair featuring a lion, a pot leaf and stripes of red, green and yellow.

All three are available for pre-order through the company’s website (happysocks.com) for $12 a pair, though the hard-core fan might want to drop $40 for the Snoop Dogg box set, which includes all three packaged in a sturdy blue-and-white paisley pattern cardboard box.

The limited-edition Snoop Dogg X Happy Socks “The Art of Collaboration” collection is scheduled to hit bricks-and-mortar retail (including Nordstrom at the Grove, Ron Robinson and Kitson boutiques locally) on Saturday.
