Stephen Kenn hosts summer pop-up shop in downtown L.A.

Designer Stephen Kenn’s downtown studio is set to host a summer pop-up shop every weekend begining Saturday and continuing through Aug. 16.

Participating brands include Stephen Kenn, Humble Ceramics, Well Received Stationery, Stumptown Coffee, Norden Goods Candles, Alma Restaurant, Public Supply and many others. Kenn will offer new designs, including additions to his leather bag line the Encounter Collection, along with some items that are exclusive to the pop-up shop. In addition, his Display Collection of modular shelving will be presented for the first time.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Coffee and tea will be served all day, and cocktails will be served each evening.

The studio is at 988 McGarry St.

Openings

Luxury Australian ready-to-wear and swim brand Zimmermann is slated to open a new flagship at 8468 Melrose Place on Thursday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. This is Zimmermann’s second store in L.A. and its fourth in the U.S.

Space 15 Twenty, at 1520 N. Cahuenga Blvd. in Los Angeles, is hosting an evening of shopping and live music from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Lined up for live performances are the Eiffels, Culprit and the Brevet. Shop Flynn Skye apparel, Sicky eyewear and Issa de’ Mar swimwear. There will be complimentary drinks provided by House Beer, free snacks and a chance to win $100 gift card.

Bucks & Does in Silver Lake plans to host an event with Citizens of Humanity from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday to celebrate the relaunch of the brand in the store, which will now carry both women’s and men’s styles from the denim line. There are to be drinks from Greenbar Distillery, hors d’oeuvres provided by Blackcat and desserts by Fitlicious. Bucks & Does is at 3906 Sunset Blvd.

Irvine Spectrum Center is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and as part of the celebration, the center has planned a day of family fun from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday. The Giant Wheel Court will be transformed into a game area, with oversized Jenga and bingo, a game host, DJ, prizes and more. Rides on the giant Ferris wheel will be free during the event. Irvine Spectrum is at 670 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine.
