Adam Rich had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Brian Elledge added 13 points and Brandon McQueen scored 12 for Hart (24-3) in a Southern Section Division I-A victory over visiting Righetti.

Loma Linda Academy 70, Providence 39
Chris Purdom scored 18 points, 15 in the first half, and Michael Boone added 14, scoring 12 in the first half, 11 rebounds and six blocked shots for Loma Linda Academy (21-5), which scored the first 18 points of the game. Andrew Nelson scored 14 points for host Providence (14-10).

Aaron Tamai had 15 points to lead visiting Santa Clara (15-11). Michael Friedman had 18 points and seven rebounds and Robert Karpeles had 11 points and five assists for Yeshiva (15-8).

Vince Van Kurin scored 22 points, including three three-pointers, and Michael Davis scored 17 for Esperanza (21-6). Larry Gordon was nine for nine from the field and scored 23 points for Montclair (16-11).

Etiwanda 59, Dana Hills 43
Darren Collison scored 20 points to lead host Etiwanda (26-1). Blaine Templeton scored 22 points for Dana Hills (12-16).

Long Beach Poly 66, Valencia 64
Marcus Lewis drove the lane for a layup with two seconds left and No. 2-seeded Long Beach Poly (24-3) escaped over wild-card entrant Valencia, which rallied from an 18-point, third-quarter deficit at Long Beach Poly.Poly led, 26-17, at halftime and went on a 10-1 run to open the third quarter and take a 36-18 lead. Valencia senior guard Jason Lott, who had a career-high 31 points, scored 22 points in the second half to spark the Vikings' comeback. Lott made a school-record eight three-point baskets in the game and hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 64-64 with 20 seconds left. Valencia (16-12) had nine three-pointers in the second half and 12 in the game, tying a single-game school record. Lewis finished with 23 points to lead Poly.

Long Beach Wilson 72, Corona Santiago 62
Chris Hart had 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Craig Williams had 19 points, four rebounds and three assists to lead visiting Long Beach Wilson (18-10), which will play Lynwood Tuesday in the second round. Corona Santiago finished 16-12.

Los Alamitos 59, El Rancho 47
Landry Fields made five three-pointers and scored 17 points for host Los Alamitos (19-8), which outscored El Rancho, 22-3, in the third quarter. Rudy Navarrete scored 23 points for El Rancho (12-15).

Miller 80, Murrieta Valley 75
Giyoh Shey had 23 points and 11 rebounds and Daniel Fleming added 22 points for visiting Murrieta Valley (14-12). Miller improved to 21-4.

Santa Monica 78, Diamond Bar 59
Tim McGrath had 23 points and nine rebounds and Jason Deutchman had 21 points and eight rebounds for host Santa Monica (18-9). Collin Robinson had 12 points for Diamond Bar (15-13).

Tyler Gottstein had 20 points and 12 rebounds, Shon Waite added 19 points, including four three-pointers, and Kelvin Kim had 17 points for El Toro (22-5). Jess Guidroz led all scorers with 24 points for Canyon (16-11).

Davon Roberts had 29 points and 16 rebounds and James Powell added 18 points to lead host Glendora (28-1) past Chapparal (14-15).

James Lambert had 29 points and Matt Brennan had 26 points for visiting Marina (21-7). Jonathan Gibson scored 29 points, including five three-pointers for West Covina (4-22).

Davis Baker scored 27 points to lead No. 2-seeded Capistrano Valley (24-3). Anaheim finished 13-15.

Cathedral City 70, Norco 61 (OT)
Point guard Ryan Towner hit a three-point shot at the buzzer to tie the score, 55-55, and send the game into overtime for host and No. 4-seeded Cathedral City (25-2). Towner scored all of his 13 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, including making six of eight free throws in overtime, to help Cathedral City outscore Norco (13-15), 15-6, in the extra period. Nick Lee scored 17 points to lead Cathedral City, which will play Mira Costa Tuesday in the second round.

Claremont 82, California 72
Jordan Block had 27 points and Mike Wells and Marcus Carter each had 15 points for Claremont (18-11). Alec Stern had 22 points for host California (13-12).

Irvine University 73, Rio Mesa 69
Jon Asnon and A.J. Moskus each scored 21 points and University (19-9) led the entire way. Rio Mesa ends 16-10.

King 75, Cerritos 63
Matt Thomas had 27 points, six steals and six assists to lead host and No. 1-seeded King (24-4). Johnathan Ma scored 19 points, including three three-pointers, for Cerritos (14-15).

La Habra 55, La Quinta 53
Visiting La Habra (17-12) hit 11 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter to come back from a six-point deficit with four minutes left. Josh Salo had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, Luke McDonough had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Matt Border, a 6-9 center, had six points and 10 blocked shots for the Highlanders. La Quinta is 17-11.

Loyola 73, Foothill 40
Jordan Wilkes scored 20 points and Vince Oliver had 14 points and 14 rebounds for host Loyola (19-7). Foothill finished 16-12.

Mira Costa 68, Hueneme 65
Mike Archuleta had 20 points and 11 rebounds and J.R. Martinez had 19 points, including three three-pointers in the first quarter, and six assists for Mira Costa (19-8). Josh Pinkard had 23 points for Hueneme (20-6).

David Noell had 24 points and Taylor Rochestie had 22 points for host Santa Barbara (22-4), which will play Sunny Hills Tuesday. Beverly Hills 14-15.

Daniel Hackett scored 18 points to lead visiting St. John Bosco (18-12). Kenny Collins scored 16 points for Rancho Verde (17-11).

Bryan Harvey scored 21 points to lead host and top-seeded Domiguez (23-5). Valencia is 12-16.

Ten different players scored for host Granite Hills (16-9). Apple Valley is 15-11.

Brian Cymbolin had 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead host La Serna (22-6). Bellflower is 17-10.

Mater Dei 82, Burbank Burroughs 57
Marcel Jones had 29 points and Taylor King scored 16 to lead No. 2-seeded Mater Dei (22-4). Joey Paysinger had 20 points for Burroughs (13-12).

Redondo 54, Orange 52
Senior guard Corey Siegel made two free throws with 10 seconds left to give host Redondo (18-9) the victory. Andrew Dismuke missed a layup as time expired for Orange (12-15). Brice Gallow led all scorers with 24 points for Redondo.

West Torrance 86, North Torrance 84
Chad Hunt hit a three-point basket with 30 seconds left to give West Torrance (15-13) the lead for good as the Warriors completed a comeback from a 12-point, third-quarter deficit. Robbie Kobel led West Torrance with 21 points and 11 rebounds and Hunt finished with 18 points. Jarrod Carrol had 33 points for North Torrance.

Woodbridge 85, Los Altos 49
Dietrich Chase and Trevor Weiss each tallied 16 points for Woodbridge (22-6). Dylan Rogers and Dustin Heiman had 10 points apiece for Los Altos (12-16).

Artesia 56, Pomona 52
Freshman James Harden made a three-pointer with 1:30 left to break a 47-47 tie and give Artesia (20-9) the lead for good. Vondrae Williams had 13 points to lead Artesia. Kelly Johnson led host Pomona (18-8) with 20 points.

Junior forward Shyaun Saee had 12 points and 12 rebounds and senior center Steve Saunders added 13 points to lead Calabasas (20-3-4) past visiting Workman (13-13).

Ganesha 66, Western 43
Jason Smith scored 19 points and William Evans added 18 for host Ganesha (20-8). Western is 23-5.

Northwood 65, Atascadero 54
Brad Vanlandingham made a baseline jump shot with two seconds to play for visiting Northwood (18-10). Tino Zaragosa had 31 points for Northwood. Mecklen Davis had 20 points for Atascadero (22-3).

Greg Okwudibonye had 25 points and eight rebounds for Ocean View (22-6). Alemany ends 13-14.

Marcus Everett had 16 points, including four three-pointers, for host Chaminade (15-5). Michael Ryan-Flores had 22 points, including five three-pointers, for San Dimas (16-10).

Chris Berry had 21 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks to lead host Compton Centennial (26-2). Oak Park is 16-11.

Ramses Barden had 14 points for host Flintridge Prep (17-8), which will play Kilpatrick Tuesday in the quarterfinals with the location decided by a coin flip. Capistrano Valley Christian finished 10-14.

Aaron Breaux had 23 points to lead Kilpatrick (16-9) past visiting Windward (15-11). Cedrick Latimer had 22 points to lead Windward. Kilpatrick outscored Windward, 18-11, in the fourth quarter after trailing, 23-19, at the half.

Mary Star 68, Woodcrest Christian 64
Jeff Fiamengo had 32 points, six rebounds, five assists and six steals and Jonathan Philips had 13 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and five steals to lead visiting Mary Star (18-10) past Woodcrest Christian (16-7).

Paul Janczyk had 25 points and 10 rebounds for St. Margaret's (23-2), which also got 19 points from Nic Benedetto. Calvary Chapel finished 13-15.

Mike Bagon had 28 points and 10 assists and Matt Shaw had 21 points and 10 rebounds for host Verbum Dei (15-9). Kevin Bass scored 22 points to lead Montclair Prep (12-16).

Wes Watts had 21 points for host Apple Valley Christian (18-5). Jake Garcia had 31 points and Derek Beatrice had 23 points for Upland Christian (10-14).

Adam Nelson had 21 points and 11 rebounds and Adan Vega had 10 points, four assists and four steals for visiting Avalon (15-10).

Saul Martinez scored 17 points to lead host La Sierra Academy (16-8). La Sierra Academy's leading scorer, Paolo Zamorano, who averages 28.6 points per game, was held to nine points. Baptist Christian improves to 12-10.

Josh Hamilton had 23 points for host Hesperia Christian (18-7), which will play at St. Anthony Tuesday. Robert Hughes had 20 points for Boron (18-4).

Matt Landes had 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead visiting New Roads (20-4). Tommy Johnston had 14 points for Riverside Christian (12-10).

Delphi Academy improves to 15-9.

Mesrobian 72, Big Pine 64
Joey Wassilian had 31 points and 19 rebounds to lead visiting Mesrobian (8-11).Eric Poladian hit 12 of 16 free throws and Ara Ajemian had 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Big Pine finished 18-5.

Renaissance Academy 72, Torrance Lutheran 53
Junior guard Brian Beam had 33 points, eight rebounds and four steals and Archie Robb added 16 points and eight rebounds to lead host Renaissance Academy (19-5) past Torrance Lutheran (9-14) for its 12th win in a row.

Rio Hondo Prep 64, West L.A. Baptist 39
Dan Pastor and Landon Goodwill each had 15 points for visiting Rio Hondo Prep (10-11). Jessie Plasmyer had 10 points for West L.A Baptist (5-11).

Levon Hymes had 29 points to lead Twin Pines (8-5). Arango had 33 points and Ruff had 30 for Calvary Baptist.

Stephan Gilling scored 14 points and Chuckie Ellis added 13 points to lead host Ayala (22-6). Arcadia finishes at 12-16.

Arnie Salgado had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Tim Paschal tallied 26 points and 10 steals and William Rowe added 19 points and 10 rebounds for host Redlands Adventist (20-6). Alex Machain also added 10 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals for the Bulldogs. Sean Wheeler had 18 points and Stan Goldsby had 16 points for Death Valley. Redlands Adventist set the school's single-game scoring record with 111 points.

Westview 100, Shandon 64
Junior guard Taylor Frampton had 22 points and 10 rebounds, senior E.B. Benson had 20 points and 18 rebounds and sophomore Pablo Saucedo added 18 points, 10 assists and 11 steals to lead host Westview (16-5). Brian Wilson led Shandon (6-13) with 23 points.

Matt Nunez had 20 points and 12 rebounds including the game-winning layup and free throw with eight seconds remaining and Brian Byrd had 22 points and 10 rebounds for visiting Temescal Canyon (18-9), which will play the Rubidoux/Mission Viejo winner Tuesday in the second round. Canyon Springs is 14-13.

Chris Downs hit the game-winning three-pointer, his only points of the game, with no time remaining and George Medrano had 18 points for host Beverly Hills (14-14), which will play at Santa Barbara Friday. Pasadena finished 11-15.

Jonathan Ma had 17 points for visiting Cerritos (14-14) which plays King Friday. Damien is 12-13.

Jordan Block scored 21 points and Marcus Carter had 18 points and 11 assists to lead visiting Claremont (17-11) past Indio (15-12).

Jon Asnon made three three-pointers and finished with 33 points and A.J. Moskus had 12 points for host University (18-9), which led, 48-24, at halftime. Eric Taylor had 18 points for Kennedy (15-12). The Trojans play at Oxnard Rio Mesa in a first-round game on Friday.

Jonathan Arid had 17 points and 16 rebounds and Phuc Dinh had 15 points, including the game-tying layup with eight seconds left in regulation for host Gabrielino (15-11), which will play at Santa Maragarita Friday. Lawrence had 28 points for Chino Hills (13-14), which led by 18 points in the third quarter.

Ganesha 55, Palm Desert 52
Friction that developed this season in the Desert Valley League continued to have an adverse affect on Palm Desert in the first round of the Southern Section playoffs Wednesday.

The visiting Aztecs played without leading scorer Justin Sobczyk, who was forced to sit out after being ejected from Palm Desert's final league game against La Quinta.

The Aztecs suffered their second defeat at the hands of La Quinta, which is led by a former Palm Desert player Quintin Watkins. The loss dropped them into a tie with La Quinta for second place, which resulted in a lower seeding and a 95-mile drive for their first-round playoff game.

Still, the Aztecs (16-11) had their chances after cutting an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to two on James Dockery's fast-break layup with 40.9 seconds remaining. But Palm Desert mishandled a pass under its basket with 16.8 seconds left and then missed two three-point shot attempts in the closing seconds.

Di'Mon Phelps had 13 points and Williams Evans added 12 to lead Ganesha (19-8).

Dockery, a sophomore guard who began the season on junior varsity, scored 17 to lead Palm Desert.

Brandon Harper hit a free throw with 18 seconds left to clinch the game and Donald Thomas had 17 points and a school-record 21 rebounds for host Pacifica (20-7). Harper finished with 12 points. Jerry Santos had 14 points for South Hills (13-9).

Northwood 62, Monrovia 55
Tino Zaragoza had 25 points and Dan Selway had 16 to help lift host Northwood (17-10). Keith Collins had 14 points and Briant Collins had 12 for Monrovia (16-11).

Rim of the World 72, Diamond Ranch 50
Luke Plante had 21 points and eight rebounds, Shawn Giordano had 21 points and five assists and Steve Creswell had 16 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks for host Rim of the World (21-7), which will play at Arlington Friday. Diamond Ranch is 11-17.

Western 63, Gahr 58 (OT)
Western freshman Jonathan Vaughn, who had spent the entire game on the bench, came in with no time remaining and made one of two free throws to send the game into overtime. With the host Pioneers trailing, 50-49, Mark Borci drew a foul as time ran out in regulation. Borci began to cramp up and was unable to attempt the two free throws. Gahr, allowed to choose anyone on Western's roster to shoot the free throws, chose Vaughn. Matt Goodloe had 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Marcus McAdam had 13 points, 15 rebounds and blocked four shots and Marc Alejandro made four of six free throws in overtime for Western (23-4), which played without leading scorer Wilmer Fiapai, who was ill. Cory Rhoane had 14 points to pace Gahr (12-16).
