Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings preview

The Clippers have won three games in a row, each of them without Blake Griffin, who is sidelined after having surgery Feb. 9 to remove a staph infection in his right elbow.

They host the Sacramento Kings on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Staples Center.

The Clippers (36-19) are in fifth place in the Western Conference, 14 games ahead of the 13th-place Kings (19-34).

DeAndre Jordan has had 20-20 performances in two of the last three games, falling short of receiving his third 20-20 when he had 26 points and 18 rebounds in the Clippers’ 119-115 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.

He had 22 points and 27 rebounds in the Clippers’ 115-98 win over Dallas on Feb. 9, and 24 points and 20 rebounds in the team’s 110-95 win over Houston on Feb. 11.

Jordan, however, has struggled at the free throw line, where he’s had 54 shots over the last two games, making only 22. His 54 attempts are the most by any player over a two-game span dating to 1963-64.

“I dropped out of college, but percentage-wise, I don’t think that’s [good],” Jordan said after Thursday’s game.

Sacramento point guard Darren Collison is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game after missing his team’s last five games because of a strained right hip flexor. Reggie Evans is out with a right knee contusion.

The last time these teams played, the Cilppers won, 117-108. In that game, which Sacramento was playing without DeMarcus Cousins, the Kings outrebounded the Clippers, 54-34, but the Clippers forced the Kings to commit 18 turnovers while only committing five of their own.
