Radisson suspends its sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings
If you were paying close attention to the news conference that the Minnesota Vikings held Monday to announce that they would let Adrian Peterson play on Sunday despite the furor over his alleged child abuse, you might have noticed that the backdrop behind Minnesota GM Rick Spielman was plastered with logos for the Radisson hotel chain.
Someone at Radisson must have noticed, because you won’t be seeing that in the future.
Radisson announced on its website and on Twitter on Monday night that it was suspending its sponsorship of the team, saying in a statement:
“Radisson takes this matter very seriously particularly in light of our long-standing commitment to the protection of children. We are closely following the situation and effective immediately, Radisson is suspending its limited sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings while we evaluate the facts and circumstances.”
