Chino Hills tied a state record last season with 18 games scoring 100 or more points. The Huskies are once again scoring points in large numbers even though Lonzo Ball has moved on to UCLA.

LiAngelo Ball finished with 56 points on Tuesday night in a 121-89 victory over Orange Lutheran at Corona Centennial. Chino Hills is two for two this season in reaching the century mark. LaMelo Ball had 21 points and 18 assists. Now that’s called brotherly love.

“What are you going to do?” Orange Lutheran Coach Chris Nordstrom said. “There were 207 possessions in the game. It’s a different look without Lonzo, but they’re really good. You have to play four quarters.”

LiAngelo got most of his points going inside. Chris Williams led Orange Lutheran with 18 points.

Etiwanda knocked off Centennial, 85-75. Miles Oliver scored 20 points. Jalen Hill had 26 for Centennial.

Long Beach Poly defeated Cathedral, 88-63. Zafir Williams had 15 points. UCLA-bound Jaylen Hands scored 26 points in Foothills Christian’s 84-61 win over Rancho Christian.

Damien defeated Sierra Vista, 87-28. Cameron Shelton scored 24 points.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame improved to 2-0 with an 82-70 win over Valley View. Julian Rishwain scored 23 points and Ziarie Williams and Eli Herman added 11 points apeice. Notre Dame plays St. Augustine at Mission Viejo on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Viewpoint improved to 2-0 with a 50-45 win over Sylmar. Michael Okparaocha had 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Thousand Oaks defeated St. Genevieve, 67-30. Tyler Clem finished with 24 points.

Crespi opened in the Westchester tournament with a 63-32 win over Venice. Billy Oxley scored 14 points. Narbonne defeated North Torrance, 72-69. Kendal Frey had 17 points. Ethan Thompson scored 29 points in Bishop Montgomery’s 94-19 win over Cleveland.

Westlake is 2-0 after a 65-38 win over Marshall. Adam Hess scored 17 points.

Burroughs defeated Chatsworth, 82-66. Tristen Hull scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds. Stefon Foster added 20 points.

Fairfax won in the debut of new Coach Steve Baik, defeating Executive Prep, 55-45, in the Maranatha tournament. Jamal Hartwell scored 26 points and Ethan Anderson 19.

St. Bonaventure defeated Villanova Prep, 84-32. Jackson Carter had 18 points and Dylan Bollinger 17.

San Marino defeated Flintridge Prep, 56-34. Owen Koch had 17 points. Jonathan Le led Flintridge with 13.

Village Christian defeated Faith Baptist, 83-42. Jalen Riley scored 26 points. Freshman Ty Penberthy made five threes and finished with 17 points in an impressive debut.

Mater Dei defeated Mission Viejo, 77-30. Justice Sueing and Spencer Freedman each scored 15 points.
