Michelangelo: An article in the Aug. 23 Arts & Books section about a dispute over whether a marble bas relief in the touring “Vatican Splendors” exhibition should be attributed to Michelangelo said that known copies of a famous drawing of the contested image included etchings. The copies were engravings, not etchings.

Personal finance: In the Aug. 22 Business section, the Money Talk column said the IRS allows an individual to make an annual gift of up to $15,000 without having to file a gift tax return. The annual gift exclusion for 2015 is $14,000.

State prisons: An article in the Aug. 22 California section about waiting lists for the care of mentally ill prisoners in California misidentified U.S. District Court Judge Kimberly Mueller as Claudia Mueller.

San Jose police: An article in Section A on Aug. 22 about a police shooting in San Jose said police are looking for two suspects in a related fatal shooting days earlier. Police are looking for one gunman.
