Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Kenwood

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Thursday afternoon four miles from Kenwood, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:18 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from Rohnert Park, seven miles from Santa Rosa, eight miles from Petaluma and 62 miles from Sacramento.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
