Authorities were also looking at a blue-gray Nissan pickup truck with Oregon license plates in a nearby parking lot.

The infant’s parents went to the Santa Clarita sheriff’s station about 9:30 p.m. Friday to report that she was missing from their residence in the 21300 block of Alder Drive, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A search of the home and surrounding areas was unsuccessful. The Santa Clarita Valley Search and Rescue Team was activated, as well as airborne, K-9 and detectives units, to help with the continued search for the missing baby, whose body was found about half a mile from her home.
