At least five people were injured Wednesday after a car plowed into a home near Gardena, trapping some people, fire officials said.
The crash occurred about 8 p.m. in the 14800 block of South Orchard Avenue in Harbor Gateway, according to Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Of those involved, three people had critical injuries and two had minor injuries, Humphrey said. Other people were likely injured in the crash, he added.
