Man shot by police Friday morning in El Monte; officers uninjured
Police officers shot a 34-year-old man early Friday morning in El Monte, though it is unclear what led to the shooting.
The man was shot in the 3500 block of Cogswell Road at 3:57 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which said the agency was called in to assist the El Monte Police Department.
The man was hit at least once by gunfire and taken to a hospital.
His condition was not immediately known, authorities said, adding that no officers were injured during the incident.
