Man fatally shot on front porch of South L.A. home, cops say

A 43-year-old South L.A. man was fatally shot on his porch Monday night after an argument, police said.

Corey Norflin was standing on his front porch in the 700 block of East 76th Place in Florence at about 8 p.m. when he got into an argument with someone and was shot, said Los Angeles Police Department Det. Chris Barling.

He was struck at least once in the torso and pronounced dead at the scene.

Barling said it is unknown how many people were involved in the dispute and how the assailant fled the scene.
