You can buy a lot of things when you’re the founder of Napster and former president of Facebook, but a free pass from the California Coastal Commission apparently isn’t one of them.

The extravagant wedding Facebook billionaire and tech mogul Sean Parker is arranging June 1 is being investigated by Monterey County planners and the state Coastal Commission, the Carmel Pine Cone reported.

After a two-year engagement, Parker is marrying Alexandra Lenas, a singer and songwriter with whom he has a 2-month-old daughter, Winter Victoria.

The wedding will take place at the Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur and is estimated to cost upwards of $10 million.

The price tag for plants and flowers is $1 million, the dance floor: $350,000. TMZ reported $9 million is going to building faux ruins, waterfalls, bridges and a gated cottage.

The construction appears to be what got Parker’s wedding noticed by county and state regulators.

“We have opened a code enforcement investigation on Ventana Inn,” Monterey County planning director Mike Novo told the Pine Cone.

Neither the Ventana or Parker or his people have applied for permits, Novo said. One of the wedding’s contractors told county officials everything would be torn down after the wedding.

Associate county planner Joseph Sidor told the Pine Cone the state coastal commission was investigating as well.

Parker has hired “Lord of the Rings” costume designer Ngila Dickson to create outfits for the guests, he said on Facebook.
