One dead, another injured in South L.A. drive-by shooting
A drive-by shooting in South Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon left one man dead, another wounded, police say.
The shooter walked up to a crowd and opened fire, authorities said. The attack happened near a car wash in the 1700 block of West Florence Avenue about 12:48 p.m.
The assailant escaped in a white car that witnesses said could be a Kia or a Scion.
Police said one victim died at the scene. The other man, who was shot in the face and chest, was taken to California Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
