At least two “armed and dangerous” burglary suspects were arrested Wednesday on skid row following a police chase that began in Chino and continued on the San Bernardino Freeway, Los Angeles police said.

Los Angeles police assisted Chino police in arresting two of three suspects who got out of a Nissan sedan and ran into a downtown building, officials said. A third suspect was still being sought, officials said.

Los Angeles police immediately surrounded the building and captured the driver and a passenger about 11:15 a.m. after a brief search. Police had set up a barricade on skid row as they searched.

The pursuit began about 10:15 am. at a home in Hacienda Heights, said Chino police spokeswoman Michelle VanDerLinden. Chino detectives had been following the suspects in connection to a series of burglaries over the last few days, she said.

While following the suspects, investigators confirmed they were responsible for a Hacienda Heights break-in and initiated a pursuit, she said.

Several firearms were found inside the Nissan Altima the suspects used during the pursuit, she said.
