Woman stabbed in Rosemead, suspect shot dead by deputy

A man suspected of stabbing a woman was shot and killed Friday evening by a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 6:45 p.m. in the 2400 block of Earle Avenue in Rosemead. The man, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female stabbing victim was taken to a hospital. Her condition was unknown.

No information was available about the circumstances of the stabbing or shooting, said L.A. County Sheriff’s Deputy Irys Alvares. Detectives are on scene conducting an investigation.
