Brittany Baker, 26, of Los Angeles, was traveling westbound on 7th when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the light pole, crashed into a building and struck a parked truck, authorities said. This caused her vehicle to overturn and come to rest on a second vehicle.

Officers already in the area saw smoke coming from the vehicle and pulled the woman from it before it became engulfed in flames, authorities said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
