Vancouver: A Dec. 13 article about the 2010 Winter Olympics incorrectly reported that the Olympics and Paralympics run Feb. 12 to 28. The Paralympics are March 12 to 21. The same article called the Peak2Peak Gondola the world’s longest. It is the world’s longest unsupported gondola span. The article also said the Sea-to-Sky Highway leading to Whistler would be closed to everyone except residents and fans with tickets. The checkpoint on the highway will operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. During those hours, motorists will need a permit to pass. The permits are given to area residents and Olympic fans who have secured a parking spot at the venues. After those hours, all motorists can pass without a permit.
