Reputed gang member wanted in connection with Anaheim slaying

A reputed gang member on parole was being sought by law enforcement authorities Wednesday in connection with an Oct. 18 murder in Anaheim.

Mario Albert Flores, 28, has been identified by investigators as one of four people suspected in the slaying, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Police officials said in a statement that the other three suspects have been arrested and charged in the case.

“Flores is considered armed and dangerous,” police said. “He has a history of illegal narcotic sales and possession of firearms.”

He is described as Latino with black hair and brown eyes, police said. He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weights 215 pounds. He has “SA” tattooed on his neck and a star tattooed below his left ear.

Flores was last seen driving a 1985 blue Chevy Monte Carlo with the license plate 519538W. He has family in Anaheim, Santa Ana and Salt Lake City.
