Carlos “El Famoso” Hernandez: “Made his pro debut for us. Great smile, highly articulate and another future world champion.”

John Armijo: “The ‘Fighting Lifeguard’ from Huntington Beach. He brought 150 people to every fight, other lifeguards and surf babes. I loved him.”

Genaro Hernandez: “Made his pro debut for us, became a world champion. A great human being.”

Israel Vazquez: “Fought for me several times, and would often show up on nights he wasn’t fighting just to watch. A world champion.”

Sergio Mora: The future WBC light-middleweight champion and winner of NBC’s “The Contender” show made his pro debut on an Englebrecht card.

Ola Afolabi: “When he made his pro debut for us, the opponent started to chicken out. We had to convince the guy to fight because of how Ola looked.”

Danny “Little Red” Lopez: “His last fight ever was with us. . . . We had a standing-room-only crowd on its feet for his introduction. Incredible moment. It turned bittersweet because we matched him against a very average opponent. His speed was gone and he didn’t make it out of the second round.”

Mia St. John: “She fought her third fight for us. Such a look and walk-in. It convinced us female boxing could be part of our shows.”
