Baseball: Luis Soto leads Fulton Prep into City Division III final

Luis Soto hit a two-run home run in the first inning and threw six innings on the mound to help Fulton Prep defeat Animo Venice, 6-5, in a City Section Division III semifinal baseball game. He finished with two hits and three RBIs.

Animo Venice tied the game at 4-4 in the sixth, but Christian Leyva hit a line drive to center field that bounced over the head of the outfielder and ended up as a two-run inside-the-park home run.

Fulton will play Port of Los Angeles at 4 p.m. at USC on June 9.
