Update: Ducks center Todd Marchant will be out two weeks because of a fractured finger on his left hand. Doctors had inserted a pin in that finger, but it was determined that the pin wouldn’t be enough to hold the bone in place if he were to keep playing. The Red Wings, coming off their first loss of the new year, a 5-4 overtime defeat at Dallas, are tied with Boston for the league lead with 157 goals. Marian Hossa, Pavel Datsyuk and Co. will present a test for Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere, whose .907 save percentage is among the worst in the league and is the worst in his eight seasons in Anaheim.
