Fans who turned off the TV set eventually returned to the living room, giving Game 4 of the NBA Finals an upward ratings push.

Ratings averaged a 9.0 from 7:45 to 8 p.m. PDT, though they hit a high of 11.2 from 8:30 to 8:45 p.m., PDT, congruent with the final push of Boston’s historic comeback win over the Lakers.

The game started with a 6.0 rating but finished with an average of 8.7, up 34% from last season’s 6.5 rating in Game 4 of the Finals between San Antonio and Cleveland.

He’ll be OK?

Fresh off the Lakers’ collapse, Kobe Bryant said that “a lot of wine, a lot of beer, a couple shots, maybe like 20 of them,” would be a way to bounce back after the staggering loss.

None of the players were available for comment Friday, but Coach Phil Jackson was asked if he was concerned about Bryant’s well-being.

“No, I think that [players] looked clear eyed today for the most part,” Jackson said. “They looked relatively clear eyed.

“We watched some tape, we looked at the first half.”

They win . . . again

Give the Celtics yet another victory.

Kevin Garnett led the league in jersey sales this season, finishing ahead of Bryant, according to figures released Friday by the NBA.

Cleveland forward LeBron James was third, followed by Denver guard Allen Iverson.

The Celtics also led the league in merchandise sales and the Lakers finished second.

Bryant led all players in jersey sales last season.
