NBA ahead: Clippers play at Oklahoma City on Sunday
CLIPPERS AT OKLAHOMA CITY, 10 a.m. PST Sunday. TV: Channel 7.
More than two years after acquiring Chris Paul, the Clippers are still trying to prove they belong among the Western Conference elite. They have not finished above fourth in the conference standings and are now in fifth place after losing consecutive games to San Antonio and Memphis. Paul is expected to play after spraining his right thumb in the loss to the Grizzlies. Oklahoma City is 0-1 since Russell Westbrook returned from his latest knee injury, getting pounded by Miami in a 22-point loss. The Clippers and Thunder split their first two meetings this season, with each team winning on its home court.
