NFL Bottom Ten: Dallas desperation

Share

“We beat ourselves one more time,” receiver Roy Williams said after the Cowboys chalked up their fourth loss in five games. “How many times are we going to do it?”

Roy, the sky — or at least the ceiling of Cowboys Stadium — is the limit.

In a Fort Worth Star-Telegram poll, 7% of the respondents predicted Dallas would go 1-15.

No Cowboys team has posted a record that bad since 1989, when the rookie quarterback was … Troy Aikman.

The biggest challenge to Dallas’ streak could be losing to Detroit on Nov. 21. Definitely a date to cross out on your calendar.

Crummy game of the weak: San Francisco (1-5) at Carolina (0-5).

Rout of the weak: Buffalo (0-5) at Baltimore (4-2).

Fantasy flops: Running back Matt Forte (Chicago), 11 yards in eight carries, one touchdown; running back Carnell (Celica) Williams (Tampa Bay), 18 yards in 10 carries, no touchdowns; quarterback Jason Campbell (Oakland), 21 passes, eight completions for 83 yards, two interceptions, no touchdowns.
