According to The Times’ Alicia Banks, the suspect, Eddie J. Monterroso, worked at the Lakers’ training facility in El Segundo for about a year before his arrest.

Monterroso was charged on Thursday with felony grand theft and burglary by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, according to a news release.
