Galaxy to face San Jose Earthquakes in preseason game in Fresno

The Galaxy said Wednesday that the club plans a Feb. 15 preseason game in Fresno against Major League Soccer rival San Jose.

The game between the Galaxy and the Earthquakes is being dubbed the Central California Cup and is to be played at Chukchansi Park at 7 p.m.

It’s the second preseason game announced so far by the Galaxy. The team also plans to play FC Shirak, the reigning champion in the Armenian Premier League, at StubHub Center in Carson on Feb. 8.

The Galaxy is scheduled to opens its MLS season March 8 against Real Salt Lake, also at StubHub Center.
