Watch Kobe Bryant’s emphatic dunk against the Nets

Kobe Bryant is 34 years old, but he’s not showing many signs of aging.

He’s averaging 27.6 points on 46% shooting, 5.4 assists and 5.2 rebounds a game. And on Tuesday, he showed that despite any aches and pains he’s acquired over 17 seasons of play, he can still elevate with the best of them.

With the score tied at 80 late in the fourth quarter of a game against Brooklyn, Bryant did a hesitation move near the half-court line, then drove down the middle of the lane, leaving Gerald Wallace, Deron Williams and Kris Humphries in his wake as he rose up for a hard one-handed slam dunk.

“I was pretty shocked that the lane was so wide open,” Bryant said after the game. “I think that everybody’s been drinking the ‘Kobe-pass’ Kool-Aid, so everybody kind of stays on the perimeter with the shooters. It just parted like the Red Sea. So I felt a little like Moses.”

Bryant finished with a team-high 21 points in the Lakers’ 92-83 win.
