LeSean McCoy’s reputed 20-cent tip receipt worth big money on EBay

A receipt from a meal at a Philadelphia-area restaurant with a 20-cent tip that reportedly came from Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is almost at six figures on EBay with days left in the auction.

It seems turning 20 cents into more than six figures simply takes a LeSean McCoy signature and a little social media outrage.

The now-infamous receipt on which the Philadelphia Eagles’ star running back recently left a tiny tip seems to be going for big bucks on EBay.

As of 2:30 p.m. Pacific time, the 125 bids had pushed the price of the receipt to more than $90,000. The authenticity of the receipt has not been independently verified.

The money from the auction, which the page says is being run by a friend of the restaurant’s owner, will be split up among the staff of the restaurant PYT, according to the auction description.

McCoy, who makes millions, was hammered by critics, including celebrities, for the tiny tip on a tab of more than 60 bucks, when the receipt was shared by the restaurant on Facebook.

Charlie Sheen even pledged $1,000 to the server who got the 20-cent tip once he heard about the situation.

In his defense, McCoy said the service he received during his visit to the establishment was awful, and he always tips based on service.

The host of the EBay auction is asking that the winning bidder write a nice note to the staff of PYT to be included with the money.

Bidding will end in four days.
