Team USA 2014 Olympic hockey jerseys draw critical reviews
Botched or beautiful?
When it comes to the merits of team jerseys, it’s all in the eye of the beholder, of course.
Keeping that in mind, it was hard to muster even fake outrage -- or perhaps vacation had something to do with it -- when an ESPN blog recently ranked the Kings’ jersey dead last in the NHL. That was simply hard to take seriously if you closely look at the competition.
But anything connected with the upcoming Olympics in Sochi, Russia, is a different matter. Nonchalance is not an option.
USA Hockey unveiled the 2014 Nike U.S. Olympic jersey on Tuesday morning, and it didn’t take long for the reviews to start streaming in via social media. Team USA was trending on Twitter in the afternoon and reviews were tough in the corners.

More than one comment picked up on the striking similarity to the logo of a proud company in operation since 1862: The Union Pacific Railroad.
