While Tiger Woods was traveling abroad to play in the Turkish Open, his girlfriend was back home calling him “dorky” on national television.

Skier Lindsey Vonn appeared on the “Katie” show, where host Katie Couric asked her to describe the often controversial golfer.

“He’s goofy,” Vonn said. “Like dorky goofy.”

She quickly added: “He’s probably not going to be that excited that I just said that.”

Woods will play in a field that features Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose and Padraig Harrington this week. He helped promote the tournament by hitting driver off a mat placed at one end of the Bosphorus Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world.

His resulting shot along the closed, six-lane span technically carried from Europe into Asia.

Vonn, who is trying to rehab an injured knee in time to compete at the 2104 Sochi Olympics, said that she and her boyfriend share a keen sense of competitiveness.

“We have very similar personalities,” she said.
