UCLA starts national letter of intent signing day with two in the bank.

Quarterback Josh Rosen and offensive lineman Zach Bateman enrolled early and will participate in spring practice.

Rosen, who played at Bellflower St. John Bosco, was considered by many to be the top high school quarterback in the nation. He is expected to make a strong push for a starting spot.

The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Bateman played at Orange Coast College last season and could provide more muscle at tackle. He was pursued by Arizona State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
