A day before recruits can sign letters of intent, the good news keeps coming for USC Coach Steve Sarkisian.

Army and Parade All-American linebacker Porter Gustin announced his commitment to the Trojans over Arizona State, Ohio State and Utah on Tuesday in a ceremony at Salem Hills High in Utah.

“I feel confident that the best fit for me is the University of Southern California,” Gustin said.

Gustin, 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, is the third linebacker to commit in the class.

Granite Bay’s Cameron Smith enrolled for the spring semester. Salt Lake City Brighton’s Osa Masina committed in January.

Gardena Serra’s John Houston is expected to commit on signing day.

USC has 16 verbal commitments and can sign 19 players.
